It is an in-depth transcultural communication for Chinese and French scholars to discuss Chinese characters at an advanced academic level. This article tries to explain three issues: the nature of Chinese character, a brief history of Chinese wenyanwen, classical style of writing, and the interpretation of the internal value to School of Zhang Taiyan and Huang Kan, a school of Qing Chinese character studies transmitted till the present time in the perspective of transcultural studies, and the concepts and methodology of the significance of its modern transmission.(Source: Dialogue Transculturel,Vol.37,2017)
