There are three factors leading to the recent rise of transcultural studies in China: history, time and scholar. In terms of scholars, Tang Yijie, Professor of Philosophy puts forward some important ideas: get rid of ethnocentrism, promote mutual cultural appreciation, establish theory and methodology of transcultural studies, and so on. Chinese and French scholars such as Professor Yue Daiyun and Professor Jin Siyan have done long-term pioneering work.
