致敬汪德邁教授

十月十七日，汪德邁教授永遠離開了我們。然而，這位偉大的漢學家引領一代又一代的學生與研究者走近中國，走進被他稱作“漢文化圈”，也是他開始職業生涯的地方-越南，以及他曾經長期居住的日本，在那裏，汪德邁先生從1981年至1984年擔任日佛會館(Maison franco-japonaise)館長。此後，1989，他荣任法國遠東研究院 (EFEO) 院長，直至1993年退休。

作為一名孜孜不倦的學者，直到生命的最後幾天，他依然堅持著學術活動，最近還出版《中國教給我們什麼：在語言、社會與存在方面》（巴黎伽利玛出版社，2019）以及與金絲燕教授合著的《古文言讀本》第二輯（巴黎友豐出版社，2021）。

在這些最後的作品中，他以遺囑的方式向我們傳遞了他的堅定信念，即從中國文明中汲取思考“人在整個人類”中所需的資源，從而傳遞出一個普遍性的信息。

A Tribute to Professor Léon Vandermeersch

On October 17, Professor Léon Vandermeersch left us in the greatest discretion. Yet this great sinologist opened up and made aware whole generations of students and researchers to the encounter with China and what he called the 'Sinicized world', namely Vietnam, where he began his career, and Japan, where he stayed for a long time, notably as director of the Maison Franco from 1981 to 1984, before becoming director of the École françaised'Extrême-Orient (EFEO) from 1989 until his retirement in 1993.

A tireless researcher, he continued his scientific activity right up to his last days, most recently publishing Ce que la Chine nous apprend. Sur le langage, la société, l'existence (Paris: Gallimard, 2019) (What China teaches us. About language, society, existence), as well as the second volume of his Manuel de chinois Classique (Classical Chinese textbook), in collaboration with professor Jin Siyan, published by You Feng in September 2021.

In these last works, he has bequeathed to us, in a testamentary vision, his intimate conviction to draw from Chinese civilization the resources necessary to think the "human in man", thus delivering a universal message.
